Facial Cleansers

Facial Cleansers are formulated based upon active surfactant matter (ASM) and pH balance.  ASM determines how much active ingredient is in the product.  For cleansers that is its ability to clean the skin or its detergency.  Facial cleansers/washes are formulated at an ASM between 3 - 10% and pH between 4.7 and 5.75.  pH balances above 7 can be damaging to the skin.
